Emirates Airlines’ new ads showcase Dubai’s hidden charms.

September 27, 2009 10:09 by

We hate doing PR for brands, but we can’t escape the fact that Emirates’s new ads are actually very good. The carrier released 14 30, 60 and 120-second television ads today entitled “Meet Dubai,” starring Kevin Sacre from the UK series Hollyoaks and directed by four-time Emmy winner Michael Noval.

The ads feature Dubai’s polished and gritty charms, which is unlike previous promos of the emirate which focused solely on the city’s glitz.

You can view the ads on YouTube if you’re desperate to see them, otherwise, you can wait to catch them on CNN, CNBC, BBC World, Discovery Channel, Travel Channel, among other channels.

A Hollyoaks actor? Brilliantly appropriate. If you like Hollyoaks, and been awestruck to see so many attractive people, so completely and utterly devoid of talent while they believe the universe revolves around them….well, you’ll bloody love Dubai then.
