A London-based law firm, Lloyd Platt & Company, is offering Christmas gift vouchers for legal advice on divorce, reports Reuters. It isn’t your average Christmas gift, but it appears to be popular.
So far, the firm has sold over 60 vouchers at GBP125 ($202), which gives the recipient half an hour with the famed lawyers. The lawyers normally charge GBP325 ($524) an hour.
“They seem to appeal to an enormously widespread spectrum of people looking for that ‘must have’ gift for Christmas,” said Vanessa Lloyd Platt, firm’s founder.
Lloyd Platt adds that divorce lawyers tend to see a rise in the number of couples seeking legal advice during the Christmas holidays.
