Say it ain’t so, Joe!
Nakheel chief executive echoes Sarah Palin with statement of the painfully obvious.

Well, at least somebody at Nakheel is reading the papers.
Chris O’Donnell, chairman of Dubai mega-developer Nakheel, tells The National: “We know that the world is experiencing a financial crisis right now.”
Oh, good. Because after the kilometer-high tower thing, we were afraid you might have missed the meeting where that was covered.
He goes on to say: “But this is just part of a normal economic cycle.”
Kipp couldn’t help but be reminded of recent interviews given by the nauseatingly upbeat US vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin, who appears to think the best way to work through an economic crisis of historic magnitude is by winking like a cocktail waitress and saying, “You betcha!”
For the record, we hope O’Donnell’s right, and the global economic meltdown we’re witnessing is just “part of a normal economic crisis” – rather than the end of days, as we’ve been told by some who have heard it from many.
