Shahs of Sunset: the Jersey Shore of Persians

Ryan Seacrest should be given jail term for coming up with this show. Or someone should at least take away his hair gel access. Seacrest out.

Can’t get enough of Jersey Shore but wish they were richer and looked like the Kardashians? Then TV channel Bravo has got a show for you.
The Shahs of Sunset is a reality show about a group of six Iranian-American socialites, living it up in Beverly Hills. Think Real Housewives meets Keeping up with the Kardashians meets Jersey Shore. Oh what a lethal combination.
If you dare dedicate some of your brain cells for this, it’s premiering on March 11.
We thought it wouldn’t see the light of day. But it looks like Ryan Seacrest is on a quest to see how much trashy TV are people willing to watch. How trashy is this new show? Well let’s just say even the Jersey Shore cast is ashamed of it.
Here’s how what Jersey Shore cast member Ronnie thinks about the show:
But of course there are other points of view. Radio Javan’s Siamak G wrote a blog about the show, called The Good, The Bad and The Shahs of Sunset. In it, he defended the show saying that he believed the show will be somewhat accurate in portraying the excessiveness of the Iranian-American community and that hopefully it will encourage people to change their lifestyles, after seeing it in all its Jersey Shore-like pride.
Check out the blog here. It’s an interesting read.
And last but certainly not least, here is a link to PerezHilton’s article about the show. It contains a video as well so you get a sneak peak of the not-so-awaited Shahs of Sunset. Enjoy. Not.

Please BRAVO.TV the “shahs of ….? these people should get back to their country and ride their camels.. I don’t get it – all of them are as ugly as they can be (even with the plastic surgery) and they claim that they do not like ugly people … look at them…
Andy Cohen and BRAVO TV. so now we are going to see individual ethnic groups bragging about their wealth when we know that all these people came here got on welfare, educated with our tax money and now they are bragging about their wealth?….
theeessse people have been educated with American tax payers money, they have used and abused the american system and now they claim and bragg about wealth given to them – they claim that they hate ugly people …. I have not seem anything uglier than these people – not even plastic surgery covers their uglyness…
Wow that’s so sad..so typical for UNEDUCATED people to make these harsh comments probably about people that they don’t even know about. Iranians are one of the richest minorities in the US…advancements in NASA, Engineering, medicine….have you heard of Google, or EBay, Youtube..Persians….yea they are all Iranian founders.
Give the show the shot it deserves. It’s for entertainment. Not solving world hunger!
Go Shahs of Sunset!
Hey Susan, why don’t you post a picture of yourself and let everyone judge how horrifying you look. You’re ignorant remarks are baffling…. You need to quickly check yourself and shut your mouth. Read up on the years of history and art behind this incredible culture!
” ride camels”….. They are Persian NOT ARAB!
I agree with house; give the show what it deserves, these people worked their behind to live like this. So shy judge them. Half of the ppl in the states are persians and live like this…so what…. I can’t wait to see it
