Terror plot foiled

Terror suspect were arrest in Bahrain this week. Who are they?
December 18, 2008 2:56 by Dana El Baltaji
A report in Al Jazeera.net revealed that a terror attack was foiled in Manama on Tuesday by the Bahraini government. The following are the government’s official statements:
“A group of people were arrested early Tuesday. They were planning to detonate locally made explosives containing flammable materials and large amounts of small iron balls,”
“They had planned to create great damage and direct injuries.”
“The officials had followed legal procedures and obtained a permit from the general prosecution for the arrests.”
Why hasn’t this news caused more noise? Who are these ‘terror suspects’ and what do they want? Is this yet another taboo subject journalists in the Gulf aren’t allowed to report on?
