The best tomb in the house

...above Marilyn Monroe
August 18, 2009 4:38 by Dana El Baltaji
A widow in the US is selling her late-husband’s burial spot in order to pay off her $1.6 million mortgage on her home in Beverly Hills, reports Reuters. The spot is right above film legend Marilyn Monroe’s tomb.
Elsie Poncher put an ad eBay to auction off the spot in Westwood Village Memorial Park, Los Angeles.
“Here is a once in a lifetime and into eternity opportunity to spend your eternal days directly above Marilyn Monroe,” says the advertisement.
“In fact the person occupying the address right now is looking face down on her.”
Bidding for the tomb opened at $500,000 and reached $2.5 million by Sunday.
