Indian schools in the UAE that follow the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) system are currently holding board exams for students in Grades 10 and 12. And while it is logical for students and parents to be tense about the exams, it is amusing to see the lengths to which they’ll go to pass.

“His mother and I stay awake with him when studying at night so that he does not get bored. His mom keeps him awake with hot cups of tea,” a parent told Gulf News, adding that he took 15 days leave from work.

“He is my only son and I want to ensure that things around him are eased so that he concentrates on his studies.”

Seriously? Leave from work for your son’s exam? Do you think this is extreme or normal?
