The iPhone is officially out

So are you planning to spend precious money to buy it?

Etisalat has launched Apple’s iPhone 3G in the UAE (you could’ve bought it months ago…unofficially), offering postpaid packages to buyers.
According to the company’s payment plans, an 8GB phone initially costs AED2,646, with a monthly bill of AED199, while a 16GB model costs AED3,090 when customers subscribe to the AED200 monthly package. The contract is for one year.
It’s almost been eight months since Apple launched the phone in the US; most of its hype has died down, most of the geeks have already bought it, and the market has welcomed newer phones.
And the financial crisis is on.
Are you buying it?

I wouldn’t mind paying for the phone but putting a limit on internet access is just LAME! I mean come on, we are moving forward into the future where internet access should be unlimited. They have a blackberry package with unlimited internet, why not the same with the iPhone??? I am not buying unless they change that.
Yes, I did already.
