Google has just released its annual Zeitgeist, a list of the most searched terms across the world in 2008. There are separate lists for every country, including lists for the fastest rising terms, famous people, and the top economic terms.
Now the list is a treasure chest for any website hoping to increase traffic, and we decided to check out if using some of the ‘most searched terms’ would pull in readers. Here goes.
The Emirates lost Sheikh Nasser Bin Zayed in the year that Dubai banned facebook and the UAE economy recorded high inflation. News and images of the Atlantis hotel in Dubai also competed with those of the Olympics in Beijing, 2008. The UAE introduced Emirates ID requirements even as songs of Hannah Montana, and images of Obama beating recession were seen on Youtube.
By the way, if you are flying by Bahrain Air to Hawaii, don’t bother carrying games; you will find several Heath Ledger toys, aka the Joker.

So they really make it. Good job for this study. I am looking for more searched keywords over the past 2 years in different search engine. Nice job!
