Watch out, Rebecca Black! Rohit’s coming for you…

Dubai is just brimming with musical talent, the latest addition of which sings an ode to Dubai’s landmarks of consumerism. Introducing Mr Rohit Iyengar…

Watch out, Rebecca Black! There’s a new Youtube star and he’s representing Doobeedoobee Dubai.
Rohit Iyengar is making the social media viral rounds these days for his single, The Malls of Dubai.
Armed with what Kipp can gather is an inconspicuous camera and a seat of headphones (probably more to keep his lyrics and music in sync than for style purposes), this UAE resident proceeded to film himself singing and somewhat dancing inside different malls in Dubai.
Kipp is particularly tickled with his decision to lay down in one of Dubai Mall’s benches and wowed by the green screen special effects employed to include the less popular malls in the city.
It reminded us of special effects the team at Saturday Night Live used in a Scarlett Johannson skit where she sells chandeliers:
With some dubbing Rohit as the Rebecca Black of the UAE, we must admit the chorus is quite catchy—although we’re not too hot about the ‘ching chong China’ line.
Without further ado, here’s the video for your viewing pleasure:
Of course, this isn’t the first time anyone’s written an ode to Dubai. Remember Mo Mansour?

Rebecca Black will always be Rebecca Black and Rohit Iyengar will always be Rohit Iyengar. No need to attempt to confuse the two, or try to ride on Rebecca’s coat tails. And yes, she has them, obviously, otherwise this article wouldn’t even mention her.
Hey,
His PR team made sure that he wore all tops from the colours of United Arab Emirates flag……
His PR team must be thinking of asking the tourist board to use this in there PR promotion….
Smart thinking or an accident???
