We all scream for ice-cream

Two brothers from Britain have brought the old-fashioned ice-cream van to Dubai, and claim it’s a first for the region.

You could soon be hearing the traditional bells of an ice-cream van ringing outside your home in Dubai. According to a report in the UK’s Daily Mail, Dan and Nathen Furlong, two brothers from Essex, recently launched “Desert Chill,” an ice-cream van business in Dubai, which they claim is a first in the Middle East.
The company now has three vans doing the rounds in the city, and the brothers are planning to expand the business to neighboring Abu Dhabi, and later to the wider region.
The company sells its wares for between AED5 and AED10 per item, and its vans feature a camel licking a cone of ice-cream.
Kipp loves the concept, and while we are not sure whether or not this is actually a first for Dubai, we are wondering why we didn’t come up with the idea. Nevertheless, we’ll be happy to spend our summer eating ice cream from a van; it sounds pretty cool.
