What are you worth?

A man in California sells his daughter for drinks, meat and cash.
January 14, 2009 3:11 by Dana El Baltaji
A man in California was arrested on Monday for selling his 14-year-old daughter to an 18-year-old man, reports CNN. Marcelino de Jesus Martinez, 36 from the Mexican state of Oaxaca, was booked in Monterey County Jail, Greenfield, and faces felony charges of receiving money for causing a person to cohabitate.
He sold her for $16,000 and 160 cases of beer, 100 cases of soda, 50 cases of Gatorade, two cases of wine, and six cases of meat. Martinez gave his daughter to the 18-year-old, but was angry when the man failed to deliver the goods. Martinez then called the police in California to help persuade 18-year-old to pay his due, but was booked instead.
We have some questions: what kind of meat was it? Tenderloin? Spam? And the beer, was it something cheap like Budweiser? We need details.
We also want to know how the two of them came up with this deal. Why 160 cases of beer? Why not 150? There’s a whole business world out there that we’re simply unaware of.
How many cases of beer Kipp is worth?
