Carol Thatcher axed from BBC show
February 4, 2009 5:37 by Dana El Baltaji
We know it’s old news…who cares.
Carol Thatcher, the daughter of former British PM Margret Thatcher, was fired from The One Show, a BBC television show for referring to a male tennis player as a “golliwog,” reports the BBC.
When challenged by a colleague about the use of the word, she brushed it off as a joke.
Thatcher, 55, was expected to issue an apology, but has declined to do so.
We at Kipp had no idea what a golliwog was until we looked it up on the internet.
Who is this old woman (to be fair, she’s not that old)? Does she realize that the British Empire crumbled some time ago? No? Why not?

Not knowing the professional profile and achievement of Mrs. Thatcher, my curiosity goes towards knowing if she would have every been there if were not for her mother’s name.
