The GCC may do away with sponsorship visa system.

Following Bahrain’s announcement that it will do away with the sponsorship visa system, GCC labor ministries will be carrying out studies to help them determine whether they can do the same, reports Gulf News.
In short, they’re looking for an alternative to the ball and chain system they’ve got now, which is fantastic news for expatriates living in the region.
It’s about time, but given the new, and often discriminatory laws the region has passed recently, Kipp is concerned about what the new system would be.
