The Dubai government is reviewing a six-month ban on expatriates who leave their employment, and who wish to join new companies, reports Arabian Business.
Wait a minute. Kipp doesn’t like to judge (we do, sometimes), but this is one Dubai’s legal low points Why ban someone who wants to better him/herself? Kipp realizes that the government wants to reduce price wars and secure corporations’ confidential information, but hindering an employee’s ability to change jobs is wrong.
And more importantly, why did it take a financial crisis to get the government to look at that ban and say “hey, maybe we need to review that one”? Why?
