More Arab traffic offences abroad
A UK council wants to name and shame drivers of foreign-registered vehicles that have unpaid parking fines. And guess where the owners of the flashiest cars come from?

Just days after it was reported that two UAE businessmen smashed a Lamborghini into four other vehicles in one of the most exclusive residential areas in London – before walking away with the arrogant statement, “It’s all right, we’ll pay for the damage” – a London council has said it wants to name and shame drivers of foreign registered vehicles who fail to pay parking fines.
Westminster council says it is owed almost $6 million in unpaid parking fines by owners of foreign registered vehicles who routinely flout parking restrictions because they know officials are powerless to trace them in their own countries. They accuse the culprits “blatant disregard” for the country’s road laws.
And now the bit you would have guessed was coming, even without our headline. Some of the most prominent offenders include a Rolls-Royce Phantom, a Bugatti Veyron L’Edition Centenaire, a red and black Bugatti Veyron (with the number plate 111111), and a Lamborghini Murcielago, all of which have Arabic plates. The picture in the Daily Telegraph shows that the Lamborghini is from Dubai.
