Here at Kipp we take a break from regular programming to bring you a little festive feel good cheer in the form of this gesture of kindness from non-profit organization Tamanna in conjunction with Horizon Draftfcb and Wonderful Productions who worked together to grant an 8 year-old girl cancer patient called Carmen her wish of an iPad and Christmas.
Since there is always the risk of time, the group worked to give Carmen both her wish of Christmas and iPad in September. At the time of this video, Carmen had just been released from the hospital where she had been undergoing chemo-therapy for the past five days.
‘Every year we do something for children in October, but this year I didn’t just want to give away money—I wanted to something big. When we called up non-profit organization Tamanna’s wish list we saw a wish from a little girl who was cancer patient who wanted an iPad for Christmas so we decided to bring Carmen both Christmas and an iPad’ said Mazen Jawad, Managing Director at Horizon Draftfcb.
The project, which took five weeks to organize, had more than 120 people working pro-bono including people from Tamanna, Horizon Draftfcb, Wonderful Productions, the Lebanese Army and Airforce regiment, Lebanon’s Defense Ministe Fayez Ghosn, YEZ GHOSN
