  • Blackberry 10 Smartphones
    Blackberry will launch new handset models with its new BB10Operating System[OS],including two high-end products slated for a debut in the first quarter of 2013.

  • Samsung Galaxy Note 2
    Samsung’s new Galaxy Note 2 comes under the new “Phablet”category, which combines the capabilities of a phone and a tablet. Slated for a launch in late October, this second version of the Galaxy Note comes a year after its oldest version hit the market, just in time to rival the launch of Apple’s new iPhone 5.

  • iPhone 5
    Promising to be bigger, faster and meaner, the iPhone 5 just made its debut in the market with a lot of expectations and keen competition from Samsung. Taking off from its rival, the iPhone has a bigger screen of 4.87 inches, with an aspect ratio of 16:9.


  • LG Optimus G
    Competing head to head with the iPhone 5 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, LG’s new flagship handset Optimus G released in September in South Korea runs on Android 4.0.4 (also called Ice Cream Sandwich), is equipped with a new quad-core processor made by Qualcomm that helps run applications about 40 percent faster than the existing quad-core processors (it’s clocked at 1.5Ghz and has a 2GB RAM along with 32GB built-in space), and runs on 4G LTE networks

    Nintendo has announced the release in November 2012of the Nintendo TVii, a new service for the Wii U that will incorporate a personalized programming guide to watch live TV and streaming video on the upcoming console

    A new smaller, sleeker and lighter version of the Sony Playstation 3 will be launched ahead of the year-end holidays in 2012 – it will be the third model for the PS3. Competition in games from smartphones has spurred the need for a more compact version of the Blu-Ray gaming console.

    The Acer S5, a second generation of superslimUltrabook (a higher-end type of subnotebooks) that measures only 15 mm in thickness, not only has the distinction of being one of the thinnest in the world (although it’s not one of the most affordable in its category


  • Bose Videowave 2

    This second generation of all-in-one system has been eagerly awaited by tech aficionados, as it combines high-definition TV with a built-in home theatre. Unlike other home theatre systems, the Bose Videowave 2 does not have speakers, woofers or wires and is designed to save space.

  • Google Nexus 7

    Google is all set for competition from other 7-inch tablets,by Samsung, Apple and Blackberry in particular but also Amazon’s first attempt at hardware, in this segment. The Google Nexus 7 tablet – the first by the online giant, released in the summer and developed by Asus – is much more affordable than other rivals


  • Fujifilm X F1
    This retro-inspired camera is not only good-looking and immediately differentiating itself from competition from Canon’s and Sony’s own compact models, but is also pocket-sized and available with synthetic leather trimmings on its aluminium construction
