As rumours and worries that the US will default on its deficit emerge, Kipp found this visualization of the US debt very captivating. If they say a picture paints a thousand words, than this visualization of the US 14.3 trillion deficit is beyond instructive.

As the article points out, though the current debt ceiling is around $14.3 trillion, President Obama has threatened to veto plans that makes only a short-term increase in the debt ceiling.
UAE c.bank sees no reason for alarm in U.S. debt row
Of course, the current debate has sparked a reaction from the UAE central bank who has said it is confident there will be a compromise to avert a U.S. debt default by an Aug. 2 deadline, adding that it holds no U.S. Treasury bonds or U.S. financial instruments. Read more about it on Kipp.
