“Ronaldinho can become our biggest weapon for 2010,” Lula told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“The Brazilian people and I root for it. His start to the season with Milan was not good, but there is time ahead of the finals in South Africa.

“He must rediscover his earlier form. The football magic has not evaded him,” he added.

The Brazilian football player, who currently plays for AC Milan and the Brazilian national team, started playing the game from a young age. His career began on the Porto Alegre club Grêmio , and later joined Paris Saint-Germain and FC Barcelona. Last year, he signed a $25.5 million three-year deal with AC Milan.

Regarded one of the greatest players of his generation, he has won the FIFA World Player of the Year award twice, the European Footballer of the Year award and the FIFPro World Player of the Year award.

The footballer also joined other major players like David Beckham, Zidane and Ronaldo in playing a cameo role in the movie Goal! 2: Living the Dream which starred…
