Ahmed Humaid Al Tayer, chairman of Emirates National Bank of Dubai (NBD), was presented the award by Yousif at a gala dinner in Brussels.
“Ahmed Al Tayer has consistently won the adoration of his counterparts throughout his professional life, which was marked by continued success, not just in his capacity as a banker, but also as a businessman and an ambassador of the financial services industry,” said Yousif.
Al Tayer is also the vice chairman of Dubai Aluminium (Dubal), and has held positions in the government – he was the UAE’s Minister of State for Finance and Industry for almost fifteen years and was the Minister of Communications between 1997 and 2004.
