Maurice Saatchi founded advertising agency Saatchi and Saatchi in 1970. He became the company’s chairman in 1980, but left the company along with his brother Charles after a shareholder revolt in 1994, and formed M&C Saatchi a year later.

Maurice Saatchi became a Lord in 1996, and in 2007, was appointed as the co-chairman of the Tory Party in the UK.
