Sheikh Mohammed became the ruler of Dubai in 2006, and also serves as the UAE’s Vice President and Prime Minister. Credited with boosting Dubai onto the world map as a financial center, he is currently engaged in putting the city back on track after the financial crisis.
“There is no distant goal that we can’t reach and sublime position that we can’t conquer,” he said in an address to the UAE on Tuesday on the occasion of the country’s National Day.
