In 1970, Khalaf Al Habtoor left his job at a local construction firm and established his own company: Al Habtoor Engineering. Over the course of 38 years, the company spanned across a number of industries, including education, automobile, hospitality, and others.
Today, the company’s official name is Al Habtoor Group. It boasts a multinational team of over 40,000, and the number is expected to grow.
The group’s construction division Al Habtoor Engineering Enterprises has built iconic structures in Dubai, including Burj Al Arab, Jumeirah Beach Hotel and Madinat Jumeirah.
