Alan Greenspan is a world renowned American economist and former chairman of the Federal Reserve, having served from 1987 to 2006. Recently, he has been accused of allowing the global financial crisis to happen, and has spent most of him defending his actions. His general disdain for regulation and the low interest rates he introduced in the early 2000s has earned him a place on Time magazine’s “25 People to Blame for the Financial Crisis.”
Today, he works as an independent advisor for firms through his company, Greenspan Associates LLC.
