The Ferrari Driver Academy aims to help develop international race drivers with the hopes to train them for a future in Formula One. During the courses, the drivers are given lessons which help them improve their English, study mental preparation, understand the concept of improving team spirit, physical preparation. Using the simulator they also get a feel for the track. With the youngest member of The Ferrari Driver Academy being only eleven years old, the course develops as the driver does; from starting with kart racing, drivers gradually move through the lower levels of formulae before making it to higher eschelons – the formulae that are the nursery slopes to Formula 1.
