  • Kippreport looks at some of Dubai’s most outrageous development projects that were announced recently:

  • Dubai Police Museum: The emirate’s police force is reportedly building a museum in the shape of a policeman’s hat, which, upon completion, will be the largest of its kind in the world

  • Aladdin City: Inspired by the tales of Aladdin and Sindbad, the Aladdin City will feature three towers, comprising commercial and hotel space, spread over a distance of 450 metres on Dubai Creek

  • Mall of the World: This ‘city within a city’ will house the world’s largest shopping mall, a covered theme park, a wellness zone, hotels and air-conditioned walkways, among others

  • Dubai Water Discus Hotel: Aiming to be the world's largest underwater luxury hotel, it will also include a laboratory for ocean environment protection and research

  • The Dubai Waterfront: Expected to be the largest waterfront and man-made development in the world upon completion, The Dubai Waterfront will occupy the last remaining Persian Gulf coastline of Dubai

  • The Dynamic Tower: An 80-floor rotating building, where each floor will be able to rotate independently, resulting in the tower changing its shape constantly
