“Iggy Pop invented punk rock,” says CNN. James Newell Osterberg aka Iggy Pop has been entertaining crowds for the last four decades. Born on April 21, 1947, in Michigan, he grew up in a trailer park and formed The Stooges in 1967. The band has split up at least twice since then, but was finally reunited in 2003 with the album “Skull Ring”.
