Axis of Evil
The Axis of Evil Comedy Tour is made up of three Middle Eastern/American comedians, Ahmed Ahmed, Maz Jobrani and Aaron Kader. Axis of Evil is a term coined by George W Bush to describe governments that promote terrorism or terrorist groups.
In December 2007, the Axis of Evil Comedy Tour travelled to the Middle East and performed in Beirut, Dubai, Kuwait and Cairo. The shows were sold out every night.
“People are hungry for this,” said Jobrani, the Iranian-born member of the Axis of Evil trio. “Dubai sold out in two hours … the tickets were selling for $70 a piece and they went on the black market for $500.”
