Andrew Cuomo, the attorney general of New York, sent a letter to Liddy demanding more information about the employees who are to receive the bonus payments.

“Taxpayers of this country are now supporting AIG, and they deserve at the very least to know how their money is being spent,” he wrote in the letter, reports The New York Times. “And we owe it to the taxpayers to take every possible action to stop unwarranted bonus payments to those who caused the A.I.G. meltdown in the first place.”

Cuomo gave AIG a deadline of 4pm, March 14, to present the list, and warned that he would issue subpoenas and most probably seek court enforcement otherwise. According to The New York Times, he has received no information so far.
