The Dubai Shopping Festival Office launched the second edition of its ‘Eid in Dubai’ campaign this year to promote the city as tourist destination. The campaign includes numerous cultural, traditional and shopping events across the city.
This year, there are concerts by Arab and Persian artists like Nancy Ajram, Rabih Sakkar, Shereen, Afshin, Hussain Tohi, and DJ Hooman; a cartoon musical featuring the dinosaur Barney; an Eid Fun Fair; a Toys Market and the Eid Celebration District in Dubai Festival City, where visitors will be welcomed with coffee, dates, and sweets. On all three days of Eid, the waterfront at Festival City will also have fireworks from 8.30pm.
Like other shopping festivals in the city, Eid in Dubai also promotes the retail sector.
