Charity forms one of the main aspects of Ramadan, and organizations across the country take part in many aid campaigns.
This year, the Oasis Center has joined hands with the Red Crescent Society to help raise funds for disaster zones, children and the poor. “Various fund-raising activities will be set up around the mall and visitors can choose which cause to donate to,” Emma Farrell, marketing manager for the mall told Gulf News.
The Dubai Outlet Mall has also teamed up with the UAE Red Crescent Society, to organize a Ramadan Charity Box, where customers can donate items like clothes, shoes, books, computers and electronics, personal hygiene products and non-perishable foods – all of which have a validity of at least six months.
The Dubai Mall has launched the ‘Night Sky’ campaign, where companies and individuals can buy gold and silver stars in its Star Atrium, and all the money generated will be given to the NGO, Dubai Cares.
