It is now a crucial time for industry professionals to be up to date with their knowledge of finance, according to Genesis Institute, a UAE-based financial training solutions provider. The organisation has highlighted the importance of employing professionally trained finance staff during and after Expo 2020.
It predicts that the focus on finance education will increase in the coming years, as the demand for international standards will force local companies to adhere to stringent rules and improved quality of services.
“We have already started to notice a buzz in the finance industry, as everybody is now talking about Expo 2020; what will it involve, how do we plan for it and how do we ensure the future success of a company beyond the event,” says Binod Shankar, managing director and trainer at Genesis Institute. “Without a doubt, the finance industry will play a major role in the UAE’s on-going success after Expo 2020, hence the reason why it is crucial for professionals to ensure they are up to date with their knowledge.”
Despite there being countless finance professionals in the UAE, the question, according to Shankar, is not numbers, but the quality of their credentials. He adds that it is important for companies to realise the benefits of employee development and invest in advanced training.
