Jim Carrey
Aka the Mask, was born a performer and reportedly mailed his resume to “The Carol Burnett Show” when he was 10 years old.
He started his career working as a professional stand-up comedian at clubs and landed a part as a novice cartoonist in the sitcom The Duck Factory in 1984. Carrey went on to act in the comedy show In Living Color, but attained popularity with Ace Ventura: Pet Detective in 1994. The Mask and Dumb and Dumber were released the same year, and his role as the Riddler on Batman Forever won him much acclaim.
Winner of two Golden Globe Awards, he was also been nominated for a Screen Actors Guild award in 2000. Some of his other hits include Liar, Liar, Man on the Moon and Bruce Almighty.
