How to celebrate National Day
As the UAE confirms that the UAE is, in fact, awesome (seriously, it did), Kipp looks at a few ways to mark National Day on Thursday. Enjoy your day off!

It’s official, the UAE is awesome. And you don’t need to take just Kipp’s word for it, either; Khaleej Times reports that the Federal National Council of the UAE (the FNC) has announced this week that the UAE has set an example which many countries wish to follow.
“The UAE federation has no longer become an experience, but an example all countries in the world view it as a success that it has surmounted all expectations due to the enormous achievements it has made within the past 39 years,” said Abdul Aziz Al Ghurair, speaker of the FNC.
According to the paper, he described the federation as “a miracle being achieved by the sincere determination and vision.” The article added more voices to his, basically just surmising the same thing: that the UAE is great.
It’s would be easy for Kipp to be sarcastic at this point, but the truth is, whatever criticisms we have, overall we’re fans of the UAE. So come Thursday, the UAE National Day, we’ll be raising a gla… sorry, we’ll be cheering in celebration along with everyone else.
