  • Wifi- This is the biggest reveal of the new iPhone 5. With 4G LTE capability, the iPhone 5 is capable of speed above 100mbps. Of course, customers need to have LTE connection from the broadband provider

  • With a bigger screen at 4-inch "retina" display the phone is also 20 percent lighter than the previous iPhone 4S.

  • Speed: Apple claims that iPhone 5 is 1.5 to 2 times faster to process most applications and has a much longer battery life.

  • Siri – Apparently the personal assistant has become more intelligent. Could this be because Siri has told a few customers that the Nokia Lumina was the best phone? (!). Now, Siri can book you a table for 4 in any city as it is integrated with OpenTableapp.

  • Microphone – Separate microphone when you are using the front or back of the camera. This along with noise cancellation should definitely lead to better voice quality.

  • Passbook – This is a completely new addition which will collect all your e-tickets, boarding passes and loyalty card and organize them in one place. When you are done, passbook will e-shred your boarding passes. How cool is that?

  • Gaming – iPhone 5 has the concept of time shift multiplayer, which means that you can actually play with your friends while they are not online—not quite sure how that will work out.

  • Safari – Safari can open the same windows as are already open on your mac.

  • Take pictures while recording a video –Android had this feature sometime back and now it is good to see that Apple has the same as well

  • Panorama - 28 megapixel stitching together to form a panoramic image? One word: beautiful. Of course this is a feature common to the Samsung Galaxy S3 range and the new Nokia Lumia range.
