  • The Argentinean Football legend, Diego Maradona, who was axed as a coach of UAE’s Al Wasl soccer club early in July, has made a stronger comeback as the new Honorary Sports Ambassador for Dubai to further develop the sport in the country.

     

  • Former president of the Asian Football Confederation, Mohamed Bin Hammam was handed a lifetime ban from football last year after being found guilty of bribery by a FIFA ethics committee panel during his campaign for the presidency of the sport’s world governing body. Bin Mohamed has vowed to clear his name, after FIFA opened a new investigation less than a month after the Qatari’s life ban for bribery was lifted by CAS.

  • UAE’s Football star Omar Abdulrahman turned down Manchester City’s offer, to move to London, to remain at Al Ain.
