  • Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is and has been the world's busiest airport since 1998. Based on the preliminary data calculated in 2011 by the Airport International Council, AIA handled 92.4 million passengers in 2011.

  • London Heathrow is the 3rd busiest airport in the world handling 69.4 million passengers in 2011 and have now prepared for another challenge of efficiently managing the traffic boost at the end of the London Olympics 2012

  • Charles De Gaulle Airport, also known as Roissy Airport hit the ranking of the world's seventh busiest terminal with close to 61 million passengers.

  • DIA: Coming in just behind Jakarta, Dubai International Airport is one of the fastest growing terminals in the world. They handled almost 51 million passengers in 2011 making it the 13th busiest airport in the world.

  • New York JFK: Despite it being quite a reputable western hub, JFK handled approximately 48 million passengers in 2011 and landing it as the 17th busiest airport in the world.
