James Blunt thrilled fans for the first time in the UAE on February 25, during the Skywards Dubai International Jazz Festival 2009 at the Dubai Media City.
The singer-cum-songwriter shot to fame with the songs “You’re Beautiful” and “Goodbye my lover” from his debut album “Back to Bedlam”in 2005. He also plays a range of instruments including the piano, guitar, organ, marimba, and mellotron. His style is a mix of pop, folk and acoustic rock.
Blunt has won two Brit Awards, and was nominated for five Grammy Awards in 2006. That same year, he became the first British artist to top the American Billboard Hot 100 in nearly a decade with his song “You’re Beautiful.”
