We’re sure you’ve got all the Valentine’s Day tips and tricks you need. So here’s our twist, a list of Kipp readers’ fantasy Valentine’s gifts. Check out how you compare.

  • While all but one of the items on our list have been supplied by our female readers, there was one brave male who shared his idea of a perfect Valentine’s Day gift that he would like to receive. Top on his list is a George Foreman Electric Grill, as suggested by reader Mohammed El Korek. There’s a huge variety of products under this brand, with prices ranging from $19.99 to $129.99. I guess this proves that the way to a man’s heart is through a brand new barbeque set.

  • From a barbeque grill dreams, we now turn to Kipp’s female readers’ wish list. First up is a luxury vacation to Italy, shared by Dubai-based mother Mae Ramos. But there’s a twist here. She doesn’t want to be given this gift. Instead, Ramos says “I would like to surprise hubby with a romantic trip to Italy.” How much cash are we talking about here? Well according to our very scientific Google search, one travel agency offered 6 nights in Italy (Lake Como & Venice) for $3,495 per person. This includes private airport and train transfers, first class train tickets, first-class hotels, and a private guide in Venice. Airfare is separate of course and can set you back about $1,000 per person.

  • If travelling is not your thing then maybe Ajman-based reader Shameem Nachiya suggestion could float your boat. Even with whispers of the arrival an iPad3, Nachiya said she would love to receive or give an iPad2 as a gift for Valentine’s Day. It’s been available in the market since April last year. According to alshop.com, the tablet retails between $544 (WiFi only, 16GB) and $898 (WiFi+3G, 64GB).

  • What kind of wishlist of Valentine’s gifts would this be if it didn’t have a little bling? Kipper Sheetal Bhagnari said, “Diamonds are a girl’s best friend.” Kipp could give you a long list of diamonds worth salivating over. But why not one that’s pretty in pink and the most expensive to boot. Here’s THE world’s most expensive pink diamond. A rare pink diamond was sold as a ring for $10.8 million in a Christie’s Hong Kong auction in 2009.  Called Vivid Pink, it’s a five-carat stone flanked by two white diamonds and set in a ring by elite jeweler Graff.

  • Fix your dropped jaws before you read on about this beautiful vintage car. The Mercedes-Benz 190 SL convertible was a suggestion from Kipper Janett Kheil and she’s set on having a red one too. “Maybe just a vintage - classic convertible RED mercedes s'il vous plait”  She says, followed by customary heart icons and ‘hihihis’ . The particular car showcased here was produced between 1955 and 1963. Of course the current price will depend on the condition and model year of each individual car but by our research, it ranges between $35,000 to $50,000.

  • Our last item is an extreme wishlist, so much so that you can’t even put a price on it. But we suppose anyone who’s ever watched Ducktales would at least once imagined how it would be like to dive into a pool of gold coins and other treasures. We can’t know for sure how big a pool the folks at Cashy.me would like to have.(They contributed this suggestion.) But we like the way they think. Kipp would love a pool full of gold coins too, we’d imagine jumping into it would be painful. Ideally, we’d love wads and wads of cash to swim in. Sigh.
