The Danish group, best known for their 1997 breakthrough single Barbie Girl, released the single Turn Back Time as part of the soundtrack for the movie Sliding Doors.
The group, consisting of Lene Nystrom, René Dif, Claus Norréen and Soren Rasted, achieved worldwide success in the late 1990s and early 2000s with songs such as Barbie Girl, Doctor Jones, Roses Are Red, Cartoon Heroes and Around The World. They released two albums: Aquarium in 1997 and Aquarius in 2000, before splitting up in July 2001.
However, after a gap of eight years Aqua has now re-formed, and has just released its first new single called Back to the 80s. According to reports, the song is already on top of the Danish charts. The song is also going to be followed by an album next week, called Greatest Hits, and features 19 songs.
