For many it looked as though Martin Scorsese’s Oscar chances were over. Passed over with Mean Streets, Raging Bull and Goodfellas, fans thought he best chance had passed. Last year’s effort, the Departed, finally saw the 65-year-old New Yorker take home the Best Director Oscar — who cares that it wasn’t for his best film?
Scorsese has worked with some of the best in the business (his next film is a documentary of the Rolling Stones), and his current muse is Leonardo De Caprio.
