McDonald’s vs Hardee’s
Both are fast-food favorites, but only one can win Kipp’s battle of the burgers (and fries).
In spite of the long queue at their branch in Mall of the Emirates, Dubai, the staff at McDonald’s knows how to manage the crowd’s orders efficiently. The company’s been in business since 1948, so it’s had time to perfect its operations. It took approximately 4.30 minutes to be served our Big Mac meal to-go.
One of the biggest problems fast food eaters encounter when ordering their meals is expecting to receive the burger featured in advertisements. It’s never going to happen. That Big Mac only exists in Plato’s ‘ideal world’. Back in the real world, you’ll be served a flatten, disheveled tower of cheese, vegetables and two meat patties that appear to change life form 10 minutes after the burger’s served.
Nevertheless, the first few bites of this soaring monstrosity are divine. Score: 3
McDonald’s serves the best French fries in the fast food business. That’s a FACT. They’re crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, which is exactly how we like them.
But there’s one problem: when the fries go cold, they become a little stiff, but we suppose that’s normal.
The McD stomach
Most fast food enthusiasts know that along with the greasy meal comes a crippling, end-of-the-world stomach ache. But what we didn’t know was that the McD stomach can strike before you finish your meal.
It’s an unforgiving amalgamation of nausea and pure pain, and it keeps your burping till the offending mass has exited the premises (so to speak). It’s not pretty, and frankly, the burger isn’t worth the pain.
