Obama’s interview with Leno in March last year got him into a lot of trouble after the President compared his bad bowling skills to the Special Olympics.
“I bowled a 129,” he told Leno.
“That’s very good, Mr. President,” Leno said.
“It’s like the Special Olympics or something,” Obama then said.
He however apologized for his remarks and said that they were not meant to humiliate or hurt anyone.
The first African American President, Obama recently completed his first year on the post, and as he continues announcing new economic measures, his Democratic Party has been falling in the polls.
But the president doesn’t seem to be worried.
“You know, there is a tendency in Washington to believe our job description – of elected officials – is to get reelected. That’s not our job description,” Obama told ABC News’ Diane Sawyer in an interview this week. “I’d rather be a really good one-term president than a mediocre two-term president,” he said.
“Our job description is to solve problems and to help people,” he added.
