She’s rumoured to be the Burj Khalifa’s latest resident, thanks to her millionaire husband. Perhaps some of her network of movie stars and business tycoons will be dropping by.

According to Emirates 24-7, she could be the newest Dubai resident. Shilpa Shetty, Bollywood megastar, is reported to be the proud owner of a flat in the Burj Khalifa after her millionaire husband, Raj Kundra, apparently gave her a flat for their first wedding anniversary. The 19th floor apartment may very well be occupied right now, as Shetty apparently landed in Dubai this week (according to her Twitter feed). India’s Mid-day.com quoted a source close to the actress who confirmed the flat, adding that Shetty herself would design the interiors of apartment.
Shetty is a pretty much a veteran Bollywood star by now, having made her debut in 1993’s Baazigar and amassed somewhere around 40 films since. Well known in India and the subcontinent, she has also enjoyed significant recognition in the West after winning the UK’s Big Brother TV show. She’s had some controversy, though; warrants were issued against her parents for alleged mafia links relating to Shilpa’s modeling career.
