Welch says that the original cost of the vehicles that will be featured on Cobone is AED111,000, but refuses to reveal the discount figure. “We are looking at a very healthy discount, well beyond what you would normally achieve either in a showroom or in a strong campaign,” he says. “Something at the level of 50 percent [the average discount rate group buying websites generally offer] just wouldn’t be possible; sadly, the margins in vehicles these days are not what people think.”
