Prince Charles Philip Arthur George Mountbatten-Windsor, also known as the Prince of Wales (or Prince Charles), is the son of Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip. The Prince of Wales was the first member of his family to graduate from college, and is the heir to the British throne.

In 1981, he married Diana Spencer who became the Princess of Wales. They had two sons: William Arthur Philip Louis (Prince William) and Henry Charles Albert David (Prince Harry).

Prince Charles divorced Princess Diana in 1996, a year before she was killed in a car accident in Paris, France. In 2005, he married his long term partner Camilla Parker-Bowles. Since then, they have been living relatively quietly in England.

The Prince of Wales has been involved with many high profile businessmen and investors in the Middle East. He has also been an advocate in re-enforcing a positive image on Islam. In 2005, he went on an eight-day tour of the United States to persuade the American public of ’the merits of Islam’. During his tour, he publicly voiced his concern over Bush’s foreign policy in the Muslim world.

For decades, the British royal has had strong ties with businessmen and politicians throughout the Arab world. He continues to cultivate his ties with them by taking frequent business and leisure trips to the Gulf.
