Public sector Ramadan working hours announced
Memo issued by Federal Authority for Government Resource
June 23, 2014 4:44 by kippreport
Public sector employees will work from 9am to 2pm during Ramadan.
The circular, sent by Humaid Al Qutaimi, the chairman of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources, does not mention working hours for those working in the private sector, but, by law, it should be reduced by two hours – applicable for both those fasting and those who are not.
Employees’ salaries will not be affected by the change in working hours.
The Holy Month of Ramadan is expected to start on June 29, 2014.
