Forbes billed her the “globe’s most tech-savvy monarch,” followed by more than half a million on twitter. But Jordan’s Queen Rania, who jokes about her “cool day job,” is doing inspiring work in service of the world’s most vulnerable citizens.
In her website biography, Queen Rania of Jordan stresses that, ““I just wake up and feel like a regular person. At the end of the day you are living your life for the people that you represent.”
Wife to Jordan’s King Abdullah II ibn Al-Hussein of Jordan, and mother of four, Queen Rania is anything but ordinary. Her wide-ranging initiatives in the Kingdom and around the globe address pressing social and cultural issues such as education, health, family well-being, and poverty eradication.
Committed to interfaith and intercultural understanding and dialogue, particularly amongst young people, the Queen is often present in international gatherings of global action organizations. Her activism, beauty, and accessibility have made her a media darling on a global scale. Click ‘next’ to see the Network of Queen Rania of Jordan.
