Ready for takeoff–Does the UAE really need another airline?

An airline in Fujairah planned to launch in 2012 hopes to cater to government business passengers and tourists. More details in the upcoming Dubai Airshow this November. Precious de Leon reports.

Of course it’s not without competition as the likes of RAK Airways, based in UAE’s Ras Al Khaimah is currently looking at expanding their reach to destinations in India, having recently met with the ministers in South India to discuss the airline’s operations there.
And with Fujairah International Airport mainly handling cargo flights, it’ll be interesting to see how it will transform to accommodate passenger traffic.
